The Powell River Food Security Project maintains a flyer showing where people in the region can find food at low cost or no cost, through the Food Bank and a number of food pantries, low-cost meals, and other locations and services.
We have designed this flyer for double-sided printing on legal paper (8 ½” by 14″). If you want to print this out but don’t have legal paper, you should also be able to print it onto regular letter paper (8 ½” by 11″). Just make sure that you set your printer to scale the printing to fit the smaller page.
If you or your organization would like some printed copies to distribute, please contact the Powell River Food Security Project.
You can download the latest version here.

I am interested in buying low-cost, healthy food, fruit and veg. for a 91 year old. Do you do anything for the elderly?

Hi Carol,
Your best bet might be the Good Food Box (see the flyer on this page for more info). Or you could contact the Seniors’ Association to see what programs they might have. Otherwise, I don’t know of programs specifically for the elderly.
I hope that helps.
